The Township of Langley is renowned for the quality of life it provides its residents. Through an abundance of facilities and parks, as well as programs and events, the Township offers a variety of recreation, culture, and parks opportunities.
To sustain and enhance that quality of life into the future, the Township is developing a Recreation, Culture, and Parks Master Plan. The Master Plan will serve as a guiding document providing the principles for recreation, culture, and parks service delivery and infrastructure over the next 10 years.
The Township has experienced significant change and growth since the last RCP Master Plan was completed in 2002 and it is time to develop a new Plan. To assist in its development, the Township has hired a consulting team of recreation, culture, and parks experts led by RC Strategies and PERC.
Consultation with the community is critical to the development of the Master Plan. Community partners, organizations, and residents will be provided with opportunities to share their thoughts and ideas. A telephone survey will be held before summer to gather the thoughts of Township residents. Members of the public are encouraged to participate in the survey should they be randomly contacted.
The Recreation, Culture, and Parks Master Plan is scheduled for completion in early 2015.
